Jan,
I love your new site! Do you have a page with info about your contributors?
Now we do!
I have been SEARCHING for a green blog based out of Florida! I am so happy I found you! Check me out at http://thisgreenlife.wordpress.com.
This is great! I love the site and it is needed. Do consider one more category. Fair Trade is considered the world’s most important environmental and social solution to overpopulation and toxic production. Coffee for example is second only to Oil in commodity consumption, making Fair Trade Coffee itself the most important life style change you can make to protect the environment. Every cup either destroys the rainforest or builds it back up. Fair Trade is the only action we can take that targets production not just end use such as energy efficiency. Production of all items uses more energy than it’s final use – including cars. The end use of items we consume should use less energy etc. but how our consumption is produced is responsible for more than 80% of its environmental impact. You have two stores that carry fair trade in Orlando. Dandelion Communitea Cafe was the first to carry Fair Trade and puts on an annual Fair Trade Festival and now you also have a wonderful Ten Thousand Villages store. Please give them a prominent spot in your guide so we can grow more green businesses. And thanks again for your website, the work you do will make a difference.

Hey folks,
Here’s my question for you: I live in unincorporated Orange County, AKA the land of no recycling. How do I find redemption centers near me? I’ve looked around for these quite often and it feels like they’re impossible to find. Let’s talk.
Peace,
Ryan Price

Yes, we need to include a category on Fair Trade. Interested in becoming a writer?
